So that is how it started. Shortly after I had signed up here, I stumbled over these fascinating works from you gifted portrait-drawers out there! I spent two or three evenings slurping tea, watching, and reading some small sections from your tutorials. I asked friends for their favourite actors - since I usually don't watch TV, I have no favourites at all - choose some pictures, placed my laptop on my sofa, and myself in front of it, and started - no, I did not start yet, instead I grabbed my favourite rubber, that had been with me for several years (and so was almost round and nearly black of smudge), and cut it to small pieces ( I used a nail scissors for that, my previous one was lost one year ago) - then I started.
The next day I grabbed my last money, and followed my family into the city, from where I returned three hours later with 6 less in my pocket, but two new pencils instead (puh, one more expensive hobby, as it seems...). I cut another rubber to pieces, found some audio books on my hard drive, and decided to save my favourite music for different times.
One week later I had to change my drawing position because of a pain in my knees. I had not touched my music-producing programme for nine or ten days (what is quite unusual)...
Now it has been two weeks since I joined here, and the first wave of "inspiration" (or whatever it was

) is over. I gave the first of my pencil-drawings to my sis (it showes her), and scanned the other ones (I'll upload them tomorrow). Puh... and now it's definitely time for trying to get back into my own way of drawing! I'll count these hours as practice, and hope to have less difficulties with drawing the figures from my stories in future!
A big "thanks" to you out there for inspiring me (especially the ones writing tutorials!) That was a test of patience, but a lot of fun and an interesting new way of working for me

Regards, Cileos
